AVG PC TuneUp (2013) Uninstall Guide

Some AVG users just do not like its PC TuneUp 2013 product very much, too many unwanted notifications, but the Windows programs list does not help users remove the PC TuneUp program from itself. Then, I hope this page containing the detailed tips can help you get rid of any version of AVG PC TuneUp on your computer:

    • Logged on to your machine as the administrator user, save and close your personal files and other stuff like Microsoft Office or Microsoft Excel file(s).
    • You first need to Close the running AVG 1-Click Maintenance window.

    • Press the listing Exit button on AVG 1-Click Maintenance.
    • Click start and enter Control Panel on the menu. Please note that the default uninstaller for AVG PC TuneUp 2013 does not exist in All Programs list.

    • Click Add or Remove Programs and wait, then you click the Change/Remove button behind the unwanted AVG PC TuneUp item (81.28MB).

    • Then the following AVG PC TuneUp Uninstallation will display its features, you can ignore them and click Yes on it.
    • Close the the following AVG | AVG PC TuneUp has been Uninstalled page and you re-check your programs list.
  • Afterwards, reboot your PC manually.

Additional tips, to reduce some potentially unneeded alerts, you do the followings:

  • Go to Notifications.
  • Uncheck the following options in it:
    • Notify me if programs are re-enabled when I start them
    • Notify me about Live Optimization in the past few days
    • Notify me about reduced background CPU usage
    • Notify me when Automatic Maintenance is complete
    • Notify me when Economy Mode is switched on and off again
    • Show recommendation to automatically turn on Economy Mode when switching to battery power
  • Click OK on AVG PC TuneUp settings window.
